Nicole,
u can't find the sms thru the explorer. the only way to store ur sms is copy & paste all to notepad or Word. then save it in ur storage card or wherever.
Sook Kin,
seems like XDA Mini not available in UK thru network providers. not even carphonewarehouse. well, i think when u r in ur summer holiday, u can try & grab 1 from M'sia b4 u go back UK.
Liz,
when u setting up photo contacts, u can direct assign MP3 as the ringtone for that contact. if u wanna use MP3 as ur default ringtone. copy the MP3 into windows\ring folder. or u download the patch which fotonutz mentioned in previous opinion.
anyone in Malaysia JB can contact me thru my email. got few popular softwares in hand.
Cheers mate.

Does anyone know if I can use an Mp3 file as a ringtone instead of having to convert it into a wav file? As you know, after converting MP3 into Wav the file becomes a lot larger and it takes up way too much space in the inbuilt memory. Help and suggestions? THanks.

I have an XDA II mini, and all of a sudden the internal battery is showing 0%. In talking with the support people, they are saying that they don't support the use of the XDA II mini with any 3rd party applications! (Why get a Pocket PC if you're not going to add on helpful programs?). It's a very cool device when it's working as expected, but customer service is distinctly lacking!

Thanks for the reply fotonutz. Anyway i got feed up with the bluetooth and just returned it back to the shop.
A question regarding sms. Does anyone know where incoming sms is stored? can I access them via file explorer? just so I can back up my sms on the storage card (in case I have to hard reset!) or can I redirect incoming sms directly in to the storage card? can anyone help??

I am a long time user of XDA and XDAII. The former was very unstable and the latter much more stable due to having more memory. I tried the XDA mini and found it slower and would crash a couple of times. After updating to latest system, it seems more stable. Anyone has any comment about stability in view of the XDA mini having less Memory than the XDAII. Thanks. ST

do you have any objections on switching from xdaII to the xdaII mini? i'm happy with my xdaII but find the size bulky, that's why i'm considering "downsizing".. any idea where i can get it for a good price here in Manila? please email me! thanks!

Hi Nicole
Err...I dun know where I managed to configure it either. I know I tried 7-8 times before I finally managed to configure it to surf the net. But in my haste, I didn't jot down the steps and now I can't seem to retrace it either.
Since it is working now..I dare not meddle with it unless I happen to do a hard reset. But I will concur with you that the settings is kinda confusing. The thing is to assign a COM port for both the PC and the Mini to talk to each other. I know it is somewhere in the control panel, networking. But I just can put my finger to the exact location.

Hi,
I would like to know if there is anyone out there who could help me to figure out the built-in-handsfree feature in O2 XDA II Mini. The specs shows that there is the feature in the phone. But I haven't see it though. Please let me know.
