I have had the phone about 3 weeks and i think the phone is amazing, apart from the battery life which gets drained by power hungry aplications, but if your good at tweeking settings you can easily minimise this.
I use my home 2mb broadband on my xda2i via wifi this is amazing it browses the same full internet as my pc, even flash websites (as long as you have installed flash which you can get from the macromedia website).
when i get paid im gonna get a bluetooth gps adaptor and get myself tom tom that is also something else that this phone is good for, because if you really think about it the phone part of the xda is secondary first of all the xda is a pocket pc, if you were to get the same spec pocket pc but without the inbuilt phone it would cost you alot more. were talking over £300 pounds maybe even over £400.
If you were smart i would ignore most of the bad comments being posted as the good far surpresses the bad things in this phone (pocket pc).

I agree with comments that the 02 XDA 2 is a disaster. Me and my wife both have the phone XDA 2s and it freezes very often. We have had the phone replaced 4 times and O2 tech help tell us that they have not had any problems which is a lie from what is being posted on the forum. I am fed up with the phone but o2 will not cancel the contract which is one month old.

Is there anyway to remove the country-code brackets from appearing in local call?
If I were to call or receive call locally,
my CallerID from caller (1234567) will appear as (123)456-77 on my screen.
It had been an eye-sore since I own a XDA IIi for one week.

my 2 week old xda2i-freezes when I accept a incoming call while already speaking on a call,(call waiting). The Battery which must show about 10.3 hrs on full charge, has suddenly started showing only 5.2 hrs after I did a "hard-reset" few days back, and when i emailed the O2 South East Asia technical support, they asked me to send the device to India for checking, with no explanation or sollution on email. If this is all the O2 Techinical experts know, those sending in the "great reviews" are only counting their days when they will be in my position.I have been using Palm PDA's for last 4 years, I know hell of a lot about PDA's...I will never advise you to have a phone and PDA together.ITS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU CAN EVER TAKE,in all my years of using a mobile phone, not 1 mobile phone ever hung up on me. This xda2i has hung up on me while I drive home and need to make urgent calls, then embarrassingly it froze at a party while some frnds were looking at it.HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE STORY OF "GRASS IS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE" ?- Buying a xda is like that, you only want one cause you dont have one, but when you have one, with all the restarts, lack of technical help online etc...the fun only lasts 14 days. "God" I miss my nokia 6230.

Hi - I've had the XDA 2i for a while on O2, excellent phone, send emails easily, connect to wifi hotspots with ease, play music, films, videos, pics easily. Stylus is easy to use, transcriber works well, especially in a moving car etc, quick to use, quick to type, docking station good, quick charges - if you want to watch films on the go, you can easily cram 4 or 5 encoded films on a 1 gig sd card (slots in the top) and watch constantly for hours!
An phone/pda... go buy it!

The XDA2i Sync-Cradle is perhaps the worst thing to come out of China. The connecting sync-socket in the cradle is so unstable.Sometimes you have to shake it and readust it that it stands half way unplugged until the PC recognises that there is a PDA on the cradle. How on earth does O2 maintain such a low standard of accesories of primary importance - I DONT UNDERSTAND !!!
