Hi,
I just bought this and am trying to sync it with my Mac which I was told by the seller would be compatible. I've bought Pocket Mac but my powerbook is not registering the device. Even plugging in the USB, nothing pops up.
Help!! Anybody in Singapore who has and O2 and a Mac?

I am seriously considering buying one for two reasons:
1) I have a Blackberry and a phone today and am fed up with carrying two devices around. Can someone who has use the Blackberry features on this phone please comment at to how good it is?
2) I have an iPaq PDA with TomTom on in my car. I can also eliminate this by using the XDA IIs. Has anyone done this and does it work ok?
Thanks in advance.

Only just purchased this machine after having a Handspring (Palm) and this is my first phone/PDA. So far, my experience is that it's a disaster. I purchased two O2s for myself and my partner and we are experiencing problems with both. Firstly, the bluetooth earpiece crackles and is virtually inaudible, therefore, useless - not a problem of the latest Motorola units that we have, rather, I believe a problem with the O2. Secondly, when someone calls me, it goes straight to voicemail, whereas, when I place the SIM card back in my Nokia phone, it works fine. I've checked every available Setting to no avail. Next, I have the ability with my Palm, to secure any Memo ("Notes" on the O2) with a password access without locking the rest out but I don't have this facility with the O2. Next, the O2 has made inexplicable, inadvertant calls which is somewhat disconcerting. Then, for no apparent reason, the backlight goes off, leaving the unit in the dark causing us to fiddle with the Settings to turn on the brightness. Another issue is the limited ring tones exacerbated by the lack of volume - if the unit is in the clip pouch supplied and held in a briefcase or handbag, it is often not loud enough to be heard on an incoming call. I wanted the PDA to sync with ACT and have all our contacts in one unit with a phone - wonderful in theory but cumbersome, fiddly and totally frustrating in practice. The reason for choosing the O2 Xda IIs is for the qwerty keyboard, which, together with the desire to have a phone/PDA, regrettably, limited our choices. I'm seriously considering getting rid of it, going back to a Palm and sticking to the separate phone and PDA - keeping it simple which has worked for years. The loss I make will be adequately compensated by the elimination of the frustration so far experienced in the two weeks of the O2.

Hi guys. How do I download from links in Pocket Explorer? Is there any equivalent of the right click option? In my web mail program, I cannot download attachments that have been sent to me - clicking the link just gets me to an error page.

For the User having problems with his Bluetooth TOMTOM GPS cutting off, the initial version of Bluetooth on the unit suffers from poor or no connection to dropping out, this is also recognised fault. O2 suggested latested firmware upgrade, but that could effect Stability Beware! (O2 Suggest another firmware upgrade release in June 05)

I have had an XDA IIs for two months, I am on my second unit no better than the first, it keeps locking up and needs a soft reset if I am lucky but mostly Hard resets, which really upsets me. Secondly it I have had several complaints about my voice fading on calls, these two issues are recognised faults by 02 and are working to resolve, putting the latest firmware strangely increases the frequency of crashes! You can't beat a Nokia!

holding the power button down means turning on/off the backlight of the pda.
just click the power button once and your done!
setting the power off automatically would be a good alternative...
just go to settings, power, advance tab, and set the number of minutes before the pda turns itself off.
you're set!
