Pretty good for a PDA phone...however, I think we should not confuse it with a typical mobile phone for its size and battery life as this is a feature packed handheld with everything that a PDA and a mobile phone can do. Let's give O2 a sound applause for a design well done.

I just bought the phone a few days ago and am already experiencing problems. The WIFI connectivity shows that i am connected but when i open internet explorer or msn messenger, it gives me an error message saying " The page you are looking for cannot be found." I am using wireless internet at home and the wireless connection on my laptop is working fine. That really puzzles me, shouldn't i be able to automatically surf the net without doing any settings. Please advise, Thanks.

it sure is an awesome "foneputer". aside from the occasional "freeze" - handwriting recog is great, connectivity excellent and wi-fi surfing rocks. My router is picked up till 15 meters. Found that voice command app is handy - though the one i got is still not very good/sensitive. 2 way data transfer via BT works well.
                  QUESTIONs :
                  1. can BT handle voice commands or just basic call features?
                  2. whats the latest / best voice command software?
                  3. speech to txt and vice versa possible? ( ala Tablet PC )
                  thanks guys!

A well designed PDA with good connectivity features. Tip: You will find the XDA 2s freezes a lot. To fix this get rid of a uneccessary file> in file explorer/windows/startup/ Delete the single file called "connection." This will remove the O2 symbol from the start menu task bar and decrease the similtaneous network connections that slows the device down and causes it to crash. It works much better, faster and smoother once you have done this and this can be restored with the device software cd should you ever want to restore it. The wireless lan works at far ranges up to 15 metres providing you have a good wirless router. A divx pocket media player needs to loaded where the windows media player does not play many formats and does not function too well. With a high capacity memory card in the expansion slot you can load lots of exciting pocket programs and utilities and have lots of fun. The querty keyboard helps with online activities like banking and msn messanger. The battery life can be improved, solution always carry a backup. Use microsoft pocket pc theme generator to create your themes and manually copy the pocket pc theme file directly into the windows directory to display the theme in the "today" theme feature under personal settings. I give the xda 2s 9 out of 10. Question: Can the blue tooth headset only route the phone feature or can it be used for all audio output like music on the device?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on between the O2 XDAIIs and the Treo 650 as I am debating right now between the two, both are a little pricey here in Canada and seem to have about the same rating level, the reason I'm leaning towards the O2 is the bigger screen area ... Any opinions/suggestions from anyone who has used both/either ?
                      Thanks, Daniel...

Pick the xdaIIs. had mine for a month and still having a blast using it.. the keyboard is very usable.. Never had any problems with my unit.. it froze once but it is just normal for any phone.. P910i is the worst choice.. while the 9500 is a brick.. and both is symbian, which for me is the worst Operating System..

If I were you, I'd choose a windows mobile device over the symbian 9500.. Not only is the xda IIs more powerful but it also has the best softwares available.. From a tech junkie's perspecive, A symbian device is no match to the Windows mobile device.. Also, a 9500 is bigger and uglier, in my opinion, than the xda IIs.. Wi-Fi works better with the xda IIs too.. I really can't find any good things to say about the 9500.. I'd recommend the xda IIs..

Just saw one, And it is most absolutely the best-looking pocket pc ever.. LOL. The xda2 Mini is also good but it is ugly IMO.
