How do you the predictive text on this phone? For example, if I type 'n' and then 'o' it spells 'no' but how do I get it to say 'on'? Can it scroll through all the words made up from the letters you type so you can choose the one you want?

Great phone, only trouble is when trying to down load games, or music. Takes the money ok, but then they don`t arrive, or if they do the games available to this phone are rubbish. Why can`t all the games be available to this phone. And when I down load music from the phone site, where does it go? I have yet to find out. Although I notice the money goes off the credit quick enough. I have paid for 5 tunes that I did not receive. Cannot afford to do this.

Will, having read all of the previous comments, I think your songs aren't in MP3 format. The phone only takes MP3's, yours are probably WMA or something else and you'll need to convert them.
Quick questions to those that have the phone, how good is the camera, specifically the night mode? It doesn't have a flash, so I was wondering if night mode makes up for it? If someone could e-mail me some example pictures (of anything, it doesn't matter) in night mode and/or normal mode, I'd be very greatful, I'm debating whether to ask for this phone for my birthday or not, so this could swing it for me!
Cheers,
Scott

The battery life on this phone is really really terrible. If you want to use it as an mp3 player on journeys then expect to get about 3 hours battery life out of it, from fully charged. If you want to make this sort of journey and then get a days worth of use out of it for calls etc forget it. Could have been so much better if it wasn't for the pathetic battery

I'm entitled to complain about it because it cost me £199.99! The battery life is terrible. I ended up buying an mp3 player to use when travelling because if I used the one on the xm I'd need an endless supply of xm batteries!

This phone is a great gizmo but when it comes to receiving and making calls it is absolutely appalling! It keeps cutting out so you only get bits of a conversation which makes it useless as a phone. Also the battery life is very oor esp if you'e using the mp3. If you just want a phone for texting and mp3 I'd recommend it, if you want it to make phone calls STAY CLEAR!!

I had this fne on contract 2 months ago, and ive had nothing but problems with it. add to this the rudeness of the o2 personnel, and the fact that wen it totally froze and i sent it back it took them 3 weeks to fix it, and they gave me a nokia as a curtosy fone...i am not impressed. and what is up with the usb cable, but no cd?!

Firstly I think eveyone should know that the majority of comments on this forum are from people who dont own an O2XM or havent even seen one for that matter!
**ADVANTAGES**
The O2XM is a fantastic phone you can do all the usual that you expect now days -
- Set profiles (to do this do into contacts, groups)
- You can set Images for contacts saved to you phone, and you can personalize ringtones for each group.
- You have a 1.3 Megapixel camera which works extremly well, night or day.
-You cannot not mention the music player on this phone, it's awesome! The sound quality is great, the memory is great, and you can play tracks without opening the phone.
Contrary to what other people have said you can skip tracks without opening the phone, you just need to pause the player and push the volume buttons! Simple!
**DISADVANTAGES**
-The phone is not a nokia!
This means the texting may take a while to get used too.
Not that its difficult to use, in fact after about 2 messages I found it very easy, it's just having to push 1 for space can be confusing for ex nokia users.
-The phone does NOT have bluetooth or infared.
Some people complain about this, but for £80 in an O2 store this phone is bargin of the year!
*Note. O2 online has it at £120 with a free DVD player, (your basicaly paying the extra £40 for the "free" DVD player)
-The phone only allows you to take 9 seconds of video.
Again I dont know why people complain for the bargin price what do you expect?
Besides in a short while some website will be able to tell us how to change the settings to shoot longer video.
-Games for the phone are few at the moment, nut again what do you expect if the phone's only new? Give it time and the games will come.
Besides the phone CAN play most games Nokia's and Motorolla's can play.
Just for some reason websites think they cant!
******************************************
So that's the O2XM wrapped in a nutshell.
Design 8/10 - They could tweaked it just a little more, the phone has so much potential I just feel the engineers got lazy.
Feel 8/10 - The phone is light, feels good in your hand, but they stuck on an annoying antenna.
Colour 6/10 - Wsa very dissapointed to find out that the phone is only made in silver, considering all of the ad campaigns show it as pearl white!
Performance - 9/10 - Fast phone, loads quick, has good proccessing, very rarely freezes and when it does it qutomatically reboots.
Hope this was useful to any potential buyers.

laura you can only download mp3 tunes onto your phone so if you want mp3 tunes you have to save them into a file as mp3 tunes otherwize the phone thinks they are just normal tunes and doesn't except them. it also helps if you have a music player on your computer. when you plug your phone in you want to copy the tunes/ songs onto the removeable disk (H) or the next letter in the alphabet. so if you have (i) then select (J). any other problems e mail me on alexrmay@fastmail.co.uk

for the mp3 player you can't sync wma songs they HAVE to be mp3 format other wise the phone cant read them and puts it in the misc file so any cds you put in windows wont work because they are all formated to wma. oh you can store loads more in the G: one rather than F: these will all go into the music player.
