Official: copy-paste coming to Windows Phone 7 next month
Microsoft had other things to say at MWC this year, apart from the new partnership with Nokia. It seems the copy and paste functionality is coming to Windows Phone 7 owners next month via a "major update".
We didn't get much further details on this update, though. But Andy Lees, President of Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business, promises some other new features later this year.
Windows Phone7 should be getting Twitter integration in the People hub, support for office documents in the cloud, the coveted new multitasking options and finally, a new browser based on the new Internet Explorer 9 tech.
We have a video here to show you, showcasing IE9 running realtime on a Windows Phone 7 device. Check it out, it's really cool.
And a "significant volume of Nokia Windows Phones" is expected to arrive in 2012.
Microsoft also showcased for the first time their multi-tasking interface. It displays apps as cards - much like Palm WebOS. Here's a video of the multitasking in motion.
They seem pretty cautious about committing to some clear deadlines, don't they?

This multitasking is not very inexpressive the only real multitasking I saw was the music app. And just having music running in the background is real multitasking. But lets wait and see maybe more will come.
