Official Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 images leak, confirm some details
The Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 event is a week away (it’s set for March 11). We’ve already seen leaked renders for both, including official images, but now leakster Evan Blass has shared even more official images.

The two models are quite hard to tell apart – they look similar enough to their predecessors, except for the Key Island (the raised area around the Power and Volume keys) and the fact that the A3x model now has a punch hole instead of a notch. But between themselves, the A55 and A35 look identical.
Helpfully, a pair of images compares the cameras of the two phones. Both have 50MP main cameras in the center and a 5MP macro module below that. However, the Galaxy A55 has a higher resolution 12MP ultra wide and a 32MP selfie, compared to an 8MP ultra wide and a 13MP selfie.

Both phones are expected to feature 5,000mAh batteries with 25W charging, the same as the A54 and A34 before them.

As for the displays, the Galaxy A55 will be a bit larger than its predecessor though still smaller than the A35 – they will have 6.5” and 6.6” displays, respectively, FHD+ AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rate.

Finally, here is a look at the four colorways that will be available. The Galaxy A55 and A35 look so similar that we’re not entirely sure which images are for which model – we think the top row is the A55 as the sides have more of a brushed metal look.
This could suggest different materials for the two models, but the A54 and A34 both had plastic frames (though the A54 had a glass back, while the A34 had a plastic back). Indeed, one report claims that the Galaxy A55 will be upgraded to a metal frame.

Absolutely not, but you know, me as the owner of my phone(s), I look at it pretty often, so if it's ugly with huge bezels then I don't want it.

Like students who can't be told apart because they wear the same uniform, I think it's a good thing that the entry-level Galaxy looks like the high-end Galaxy.
