OnePlus 13 has almost similar camera setup to the Oppo Find X8 Pro. The primary, UW, telephoto is SAME as the Oppo except that the former gets one more telephoto lens.
Despite having almost similar camera specs, the Oppo phone is getting praised by the reviewers as the "camera phone" while I see mostly negative views for the OnePlus.
Ironically, the OnePlus has better display from BOE with better pixel density and more resolution. It has ultrasonic fingerprint and is $100 cheaper than Oppo.

Tried shooting some photos with the OP13 today, really love the telephoto, the 6x zoom is great. I had the OP12 for a while and I like the telephoto on the 13 more, I think it's better.

Do you know why the outdated camera hardware on the Ultra still takes good shots…. It’s due to the software optimization and post processing that Samsung does.
However, this is no excuse for Samsung to be complacent and the Op 13 beats that Ultra in various hardware features.

Curved screens are such a nuisance. They are difficult to manufacture and more expensive because of that. Try to get a decent case that will actually protect the screen edges is a nightmare, especially for phones other that mainstream Samsung or iPhone. Stick to flat surfaces. Apple and Samsung already learned that lesson. Nothing premium in rounded edges!

First impressions, the 2.5d display is superior to both curved and flat, you can say it is the best of both worlds. Everything else is great, gonna flash oxygenOS when possible.

The maim camera sensor is LYT808 which is not as good as flagship sensors and I don't think anyone expects a phone with half of a flagship phone completes with flagships.
When companies tries to reduce price, the very first section that gets the cuts, is the camera.
You're talking about having lags while oxygen OS is not released yet. I think you mean color os which no one care about in a OnePlus phone. People buy OnePlus for oxygen OS.
And 5 years update is more than enough. Many phones don't even get that.
