OnePlus 6 receives an update in China, adds selfie portrait mode and battery percentage

Ro, 06 June 2018

With all the missing features and bugs that came along, we can't get over the feeling that the OnePlus 6 is a half-baked product, but we also can't miss the fact that the company is pretty fast with the software updates and swiftly fixes most of the problems that occurred.

Case in point, the latest OTA update to hit the HydrogenOS in China fixes some of the reported issues. The update adds support for selfie portrait mode - or the so-called bokeh effect - and includes the battery percentage icon that was missing since launch. The list also adds "game optimization", which probably means performance boost during gameplay, but this is just us speculating.

Of course, other stability improvements, battery optimization and bug fixes are in place. We just hope that if not most, some of the issues reported earlier will be ironed out.

It's probably safe to assume that since the HydrogenOS 5.1.6 update has been pushed, the international OxygenOS will follow suit pretty soon as well.

Amazing ONE PLUS 6 .Promises kept and problems solved taking the best priced flagship phone to an advanced level.

what about slow mo in low light. Don't you think the OIS sensor made our expectation bit higher for the camera slow mo than what it is right now.

Congrats! Now be careful on those software bugs that I've seen on most websites though.
