I'm not sure how good a buy this was, seems pretty legit, but I just scooped one of these up for $557.91 on Amazon -- it was only $157.91 more than the standard OnePlus 7T which I compared side by side and it seems the OP 7T Pro McLaren runs circles around that model HD1907. I'm curious to know what others think? 🥳😁🤲🏼

I just finished my $890 payments for the OnePlus 7t pro McLaren edition and I must say I really wanted to post some reviews about this phone. After about a year I have to share that this phone is the smallest computer I've ever had I am constantly running at high performance high graphics full release no restraints video gaming I can stream on twitch and display what's going on over my phone with great audio and mic also the OnePlus crew has made sure that this phone has all the tools you need for compressing and unzipping files the equipment you need already on the phone as a part of the programming very fast bootups and I have honestly never ran into an error system always just minor altering of programs. This phone does build up some heat after about 5 hours of gameplay just like a laptop would my phone took about 4 months of breaking in and my experiences actually got better. I had been needing a real business phone for a while and this phone is the ultimate utility thank you to the creators of the McLaren edition. You guys hijacked and created peak performance in our everyday tool that was almost unbelievable the other markets haven't done such.

Dave2D dude his entire 15 minute long review with the phone underwater and it was perfectly fine.

I understand both are a similar price, so the question that is brought up is: What is the purpose of this phone? The FE was intended to be a midranged phone by Samsung, and that it fulfills. The Mclaren phone, however, was intended and built to be the highest end experience offered by Oneplus. The best possible. As time passes, the specs of phones matter less and less. If you really care that much more about gaming and desperately need that 865 chip, then buy a different phone that has the chip, not even a Samsung. Personally, I own this phone, and is does Fortnite at high/60fps or epic/30fps. PUBG runs great with maxed settings and 4k textures.

I have this phone, I live in the chicagoland area, and I have never seen 5g drop. Please do note that the 5g is exclusive to tmobile. To make sure that your device will have good connections, look for which bands the device supports and which ones you need, and what version of wifi it has. wifi 5 is good, and wifi 6 is future-proofing.
Also, if your bf is a car/supercar fan, im sure he will enjoy this phone lol

Not an opinion.. But a question . How is the antenna?? Like signal wise ? I am considering buying my bf a phone and we have noticed like LG signal reception sucks . My Samsung A71 5g gets great signal . He had a Zte but it broke and I refused to get him a new one unless he got a 5g and I was curious if the OnePlus brand had good 📡 strength I know samsung does and zte does

Simoo, 27 Nov 2020What's better one plus 8t or oneplus 7t pro Maclaren e... moreIn my opinion, the 7t pro mclaren wins in both camera and screen. It only slightly loses in battery life.
1. The display on the 7t pro is 90hz, is completely uninterrupted, and 3120 x 1440. The 8t is 2400 x 1080, 120hz, and has a hole punch cutout in it. The only redeeming factor the 8t has is the refresh rate, although I think anything past 90hz is diminishing returns. Remember to take in account that the selfie camera on the 7t pro pops up and out thanks to a motor. Concerns of durability have been brought up, but there have yet to be any real issues.
2. The camera on the 7t pro wins due to camera selection. Although the 8t has 4 cameras as opposed to the 7t pros 3, the selection on the 7t pro is better. Oneplus threw a load of cameras into the 8t and yet forgot one of the core three. two of the 4 cameras will be seldom used, the depth sensor and the macro. Infact, the ultrawide camera on the 7t pro doubles as macro. In reality, the cameras since the original 7t have all been basically identical. Therefore, the 7t pro wins because it has the telephoto camera, a dedicated zoom camera that allows for crispier and sharper zoom photos.
3. The 8t takes the cake in battery life due to a few reasons. The 7t pro was oneplus' first step into 5g. The snapdragon 855/855+ chips in the oneplus 7t pro were not designed with the x55 5g chip in mind, leading to high strain on the battery. The power hungry chip, grouped with the intense display specs of 90hz and 1440p and both 5g and 4g modems working 24/7 led to terrible screen on time battery life at launch. Updates to the phone have since fixed this and have brought the screen on time from 2-3 hours to 5-6 hours. I would still say the 8t would win most consistently in battery life/screen on time. Both phones also have very fast charging. The 7t pro has warp charge 30t, a faster warp charge 30. The 8t has 65 watt warp charging. Although on paper, the 8t's charging wins, but at this point, it's like comparing very fast charging to very, very fast charging. It's also important to take into account that the 8t has two battery cells inside of it, which may lead to poorer/faster battery degradation, although the tech has not been used long enough to tell. The warp charge 65 tech kinda works as two battery cells, each charging at 30 watts. Although yes, the 8t can top up the phone about 20 minutes faster than the 7t pro (40 minutes vs 60), I personally do not care and am all good with warp charge 30t.
I was basically in the same position as you were, deciding between the two. After a lot of thinking, I went with the 7t pro mclaren and have not regretted it. I hope this helps!
