OnePlus Ace 5 series launch confirmed for December
Following rumors from earlier this month, OnePlus officially confirmed its plans to launch the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in December. Both phones will make their debut in China, with the Ace 5 using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 while the Ace 5 Pro will get the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite.
OnePlus exec Louis Lee shared some gaming benchmark scores from the Ace 5 in the popular gaming title King of Glory. The test included 1-hour runs of the popular gaming title where the Ace 5 managed over 120 FPS while consuming 3.57W power and keeping its thermal output at 40.3°C.
OnePlus also included a competing smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which managed the same FPS count and a similar 3.27W power draw and 40°C thermal output.
In addition to the new info, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared an official-looking teaser image of the Ace 5. The device is said to feature a flat metal frame and an optional ceramic glass back.
We can also spot a trio of cameras on the back side and the OnePlus signature alert slider on the left-hand side.
