OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones play aptX sound, support Google Assistant

Even though the OnePlus 6 still has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the company unveiled a wireless version of its Bullets headphones. Two in-ear plugs are held by a cable and can be snapped together with magnets when not in use. Better yet, they automatically switch off when you do this to save power.

The headphones support aptX for high quality audio and feature 9.2 mm drivers with Energy Tubes, which guide the sound to your eardrums. They are made out of a non-metallic mineral and silica gel and OnePlus says they will create a cleaner and richer sound.

The headphones can summon the Google Assistant with a long press of the middle button. The Bullets Wireless even have their own version of Dash Charge, so just 10 minutes of charging are enough for 5 hours of listening. On a full charge the headphones will go for 8 hours. Better still, charging is done via USB-C – you’ll be surprised how many Bluetooth headphones still use microUSB.

Anyway, the Bullets Wireless are weather-resistant so a little rain won’t scare them. They will be available from June 5 for $69/€69/£69.
