OnePlus is no longer partnering McLaren
The McLaren Racing team and OnePlus signed a partnership in December 2018, right in time for the arrival of the OnePlus 6T series. The OnePlus 6T McLaren was the first phone of the brand with Warp Charge 30, and at the time it was also the first with 10GB RAM with a staggering cost of nearly €700. Then there was the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 5G, but apparently there won’t be another co-branded flagship.
OnePlus disappeared from the McLaren's Partners page, meaning the partnership has silently ended.
While the OnePlus 6T McLaren was an entirely new smartphone, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren was effectively the same as the non-racing OnePlus 7T Pro, but with extra RAM, orange accents and fancy back panel, imitating the interior of one of McLaren’s supercars.
The latest McLaren-branded OnePlus product was the so-called invisible camera and it was even demoed at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. However, that one was only a concept with no planned retail availability.
