nope, a53 has Exynos 1280 which is more powerful than snapdragon 750g on a52 5g.
and a73 totally beats a72 in performance, with the snapdragon 778g vs 720g.

and for half the camera quality (both alternatives)

Such an overpriced phone, very meh. Should be £250 for the base model maximum.

This phone isn't worth more than the Poco F3 or the Mi 11 Lite 5G which can be brought for almost half the price!

Waldis, 04 Jun 2022I wish I never bought this phone. So awsome advertised and ... moreshouldve bought Nord 2, it has a far more powerful chipset (About as good as snapdragon 870) and can be bought for 400 dollars
or, u can buy the poco f3 for 300, which has snapdragon 870
nord 2 has 4.5k mah and f3 has 4.520 mah
the cameras aren't any different though
          nord2 has 65w and f3 has 33w
nord 2 u might have to buy the international version, India version has been exploding for some reason

Using it for only one day and it unfortunately offers only dissapointment. And if compared to 11T IMHO Nord 2T has worse camera (no macro, zoom not so good etc). The only advantage of Nord 2T I could find so far is that Xiaomi is bigger and weighs more.

I wish I never bought this phone. So awsome advertised and such a meh in a result. Some apps don't even launch (DJI go for example), cannot add cards for contactless paying, contactless transportation card doesn't work, camera is not better at all compared to my 4-year old low range Huawei (Honor 10), IM apps lag. It offers lots of dissapointment every time I use this phone, literally not much better than a brick

I like the performance of MediaTek processors (High end), some high end like one in Nord 2T are high end processors in budget phones, though still lag behind in gaming department. In some benchmarks they're beating snapdragon 888
It's a non gamer high end phone since it comes with 8 and 12GB RAM

I own A52s but considering switching to Nord 2T mostly due to fluidity of UI.
I'm satisfied with A52s but some lagging is always present (on 6GB version), specially with camera UI. I used to have first Nord and it was really fluid and fast, even more than Pixel 5.
Based on the reviews, photo quality of Nord 2T is similar to A52s so I might give it a try..

When I had a Xiaomi 11T for a few days i knew i wasn't going to be happy. The cameras where underwhelming.
So, what makes a Nord 2T with the newer Dimensity 1300 (vs the Xiaomi's 1200) better when it comes to general camera quality & performance?
Does the Nord 2T offer better value for money that the Galaxy A53 5G (Eynos) when it comes to camera quality & performance? Or vice versa?

RandyRiffin, 26 May 2022And the fact that it doesn't improve one bit over the ... moreExcept realistically, the raw performance between the 2 and the 2T is identical. Not much information to go off of, but the only difference between the Dimensity 1200 and 1300 is some HyperEngine gaming gimmick and possibly a different manufacturing node, otherwise they are the exact same chip. If I had to assume, any differences highlighted in reviews, benchmarks etc. are largely software based.

Shadows, 28 May 2022This is a "T" version which means it'll be a... moreThe thing is they upgraded on the things that don't need upgrading, like a faster chipset, while the Nord 2 already had a fast chip. I mean, I guess D1300 has better stability. I would have much preferred if they upgraded the mediocre ultrawide, but that's not only Oneplus, almost every midranger has a crap ultrawide, even Samsung. Sure, they might reserve 120Hz for Nord 3, but they had 90Hz on even the og Oneplus Nord. They didn't 'reserve' 65W charging for the Oneplus 9, they put it in the Oneplus 8T. Why? Because lots of Oppo and Vivo phones had already put it in their phones. In the same way, Samsung phones like A53 and A73 have 120Hz, albiet with slower processors.
so they put 80W charging on the Nord 2T, but again, 80W isn't much faster than 65W. it would have been better if they put say gorilla glass victus,

The 80W fast charging support along with the Mediatek D1300 chipset acts as the highlight of this OnePlus smartphone.

The 80W charging is barely faster as well, so what did improve? The performance? the thing that I probably won't even notice since D1200 is already fast.
The only good thing this phone has that the Oneplus Nord 2 doesn't is no record of exploding batteries.
