Horrible phone when it comes to sound, notifications and the operation system. Good camera, good for games. Verdict, not worth it.

Sidny, 15 Jun 2023Fast Charging DOES NOT equal fast Degradation, the phones s... moreYeah man whatever. I almost trust you when you said you had a lot of phones with 45w+ charger and didnt notice any battery degradation. Of course you didnt because I bet any phone you owned for a half year or even less cant show you the real degrade. You should use it for a few years to tell such things. Lets have some simple physics lesson.
High power generates heat. A computer power supply, an electric car engine, a processor, or any electronic component will heat. Also, the battery tends to heat up during the charging process. Less electric current equals longer battery life in future. If you are using a 25-30W charger or less, don't worry about it.
In fact it depends on daily usage and yes for example some 3-4 years old Iphone models
even have "smart charging" but my phone still heats even with 18w charger from the beginning so I must use 5w charger at night when I dont need my phone. Of course when I need fast charge I use charger from Ipad wich is aroud 20w.

smallpp, 08 Jun 2023Yeah maybe you are right, but there are a few corrections: ... moreFast Charging DOES NOT equal fast Degradation, the phones software (and sometimes even the charging brick itself) regulate the output according to the level of the battery. Meaning you aren't getting the full 50w the entire time and instead it tapers down as the battery gets closer to full, I've use many devices that have 45w+ charging speeds and never did they have their batteries health decrease any faster than what is normal (for my use anyway). This idea is just an old holdover from the early days when the phone/brick/batteries had little to no power regulations or safety features to prevent such side effects.

smallpp, 08 Jun 2023Yeah maybe you are right, but there are a few corrections: ... moreoneplus 120Hz handling is a feature, not a bug so this is not gonna be fixed sadly.

yep the global G73 price is discouraging. in india G73 costs 207 USD but it only comes with 128Gb storage unlike european 256Gb version. ultrawide on G73 is surprisinly good for the price, it even has autofocus. i would definitely prefer having ultrawide than 2 megapixels trash.

CE 3 Lite costs 244 USD.

omzig, 08 Jun 2023i think G73 is a better device. CE 3 Lite has problems with... moreYeah maybe you are right, but there are a few corrections: not everyone needs fast charge, Im sure 30w is enough, fast charge means fast battery degradation. I have Iphone 11 with max allowed charge speed 18w and nothing really disappoint me, battery life about 85%, I bought it at release date.
120 hz problem I guess related to software problem wich can be solved by updates. Typical problems for budget-mid range phones. Even 1000+$ phones have some minor absurd issues.
Ultra-wide module in this price range always trash, even my phone have really bad ultra-wide photos so I dont even use it anymore.
About full hd 60 fps recording I said below: yes its not allowed by default in main camera app but you can install google camera ports, for sure its some kind of inconvenience but still. Oxygen os aka realme ui have almost clean android experience too, but yeah moto os is really better in my opinion.
So what we have here: moto is a bit better if we comparing them face to face ( I mean some synthetical tests and numbers) but price is also higher if your are not living in India :)

smallpp, 07 Jun 2023Only country where I found this moto cheaper is India, othe... morei think G73 is a better device. CE 3 Lite has problems with charging speed which is more like 30W, has problems with 120Hz and video limitations due to SD695. G73 has better main camera, has ultrawide camera, D930 allow 1080/60FPS video recording with EIS. also, Moto got almost clean android with handy gestures which really makes life easier.

there are reports of fast battery draing with both. but strangely enough, there are reports of really long battery for G73, including test done by note book check. why such discrepancy regarding G73 battery life i have no clue.

I'm done with OnePlus. I bought OnePlus Nord CE 2 (5g) in November. It's not a bad phone it's OK+. Coming from Xiaomi I miss Themes which are absent. But the most disturbing thing about all OnePlus phones is their weird stubborn placement of buttons: on the left side is the 2 volume rockers! It feels stupid and annoying to touch them every time I hold the phone, which I do hold in my left hand, my thumb will rest on the volume rockers and index finger on the power button on right side! That is a terrible way to put them and it will accidentally launch screen saver very often. On Xiaomi and Samsung etc the left side doesn't have any buttons and on the right side the volume rockers will be high enough to not be under my index finger. It's smooth and wonderful to hold that way when OnePlus is terrible and it's my goodbye to all OnePlus smartphones. A phone should be nice to hold, how can that be so difficult to understand?
