OnePlus Nord N30 SE is coming: a rebranded Nord N30, itself a rebranded Nord CE 3 Lite

While everyone is anxiously waiting for the upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 12, OnePlus is also working on another new device, this one much cheaper. Well, "new" if you have a very flexible definition of the word.

We're talking about the OnePlus Nord N30 SE, which just got certified by TDRA in the UAE. So far so good, and this certification actually reveals the name. But it also gives us the model number: CPH2605. And that's the model number of both the Nord N30 launched in North America, as well as the Nord CE 3 Lite.

Those two phones are identical devices sold under different names in different markets, and it looks like two wasn't enough for OnePlus, as it gets ready to add a third twin to the roster. For now, it's unclear where the Nord N30 SE will be sold, aside from the UAE.

It's also a mystery why OnePlus is doing this. Why can't it be Nord N30 (we chose the shortest name of the bunch) everywhere across the world? Why do some people have to go with a Nord N30 SE or Nord CE 3 Lite? What do "SE" and "CE" even mean? So many questions, and absolutely no answers from OnePlus on this matter.

Anyway, the Nord N30 SE, like the Nord N30 and the Nord CE 3 Lite, will have a 6.72-inch 1080x2400 touchscreen, the Snapdragon 695 SoC at the helm, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a triple rear camera system (108 MP main, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth sensor), a 16 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will most likely launch with Android 13 on board, even though Android 14 is already out.
