OnePlus Open Apex Edition to come with VIP Mode for enhanced privacy
OnePlus is about to announce a new OnePlus Open Apex Edition model on August 7. The new variant will feature a Crimson Shadow color with a faux leather finish and, as per the latest teaser, introduce a new VIP mode.
In a new X post, OnePlus teased the so-called VIP mode for the Apex Edition. As the name implies, it's a privacy-focused mode, likely similar, or even identical, to the Oppo's VIP mode found on the Find N3 and the Find X7 Ultra.
The privacy feature allows users to turn off the cameras, microphone and location with a simple flick of the alert slider. Of course, other functionalities could come with the VIP mode, but OnePlus isn't very vocal about it just yet.
And although VIP mode will debut with the Apex Edition, we believe OnePlus will bring the feature to the rest of the OnePlus Open devices too.

A reason why that mode slider exists. Unless, remove those unnecessary invasive hardwares and buy a pair of headphones and a microphone. Badumtss.
