Great but will still wait for OnePlus Pad 3 Pro for bigger display, impressive Stylo 2 stylus with 16K pressure sensitivity is a big enough reason

PureOS, 13 Jul 2025Will it have big black bars top and bottom with 7:5 aspect ... moreYes, the black bars above and below, however, your viewing area in the middle is also significantly larger than 12-inch 16:10 ratio screens. The viewing area is net gain. Everything is bigger. In other words, you're watching a bigger picture.

What are you talki... moreThe Chinese market price was well below $400, even close to $300 for the base model during 6/18 on-sale period. That price was in only China with the Government's subsidized 15%. For overseas buyers, my suggestion is wait for the price to drop.

PureOS, 13 Jul 2025Will it have big black bars top and bottom with 7:5 aspect ... moreYes, and since it's an IPS display, not an OLED where black pixels can turn off, that's a lot of wasted battery on top of it.

This tablet is phenomenal and definitely worth the price. I'm coming from the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, which I still have, and it's definitely better than it. The LCD screen is more pleasant to look at, battery life is great, and speakers sound much louder and clear. I'm happy I got it.

The Oneplus Pad 3 is absolutely incredible value for the price (paid only 400USD brand new, no trade-ins) and there is nothing that can compare at the same price. The display aspect ratio is literally perfect, Samsung is too wide and thin and iPads are too squarish. But beware of large variations in quality in the displays from unit to unit. I posted more about it on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/1lfwbvq/oneplus_pad_23_display_and_speakers/

sslaia, 16 Jun 2025High-end specs, but I fail to see the need for huge tablets... moreDon't be afraid. The 7:5 ratio, 13.2 inches display tablet is perfect, very portable. I put a traditional tri-fold cover case on it. The whole thing is thown in a small satchel to go on airplane with me. That's how I travel. I didn't buy the fancy keyboard cover and case, because they will make the tablet too bulky and heavy. Keep it simple.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2025Than wait for OnePlus Pad Lite, this one is perfect for drawingIt's not even THAT good for drawing. The pen has some wobble and jitter issues, tilt doesn't work well and it's harder to use than S Pen or Apple Pencil. It's only good for multitasking and gaming.

Why they don't give 5G Sim support. Dont want wifi sharing.
There are many other tabs have 5G sim support :(

One thing is how many Android upgrades do you get. Another thing is how frequently does it get other updates, and how elaborate are update logs? And how much do they add/fix in each?
I'd rather take 1-2 upgrade less if I got regularly new features and fixes.
Xiaomi is a classic example of vague update logs, with critical changes left out and where each update is a gamble if you lose/get things, even down to the technical like boot loop on MIUI 13 to 14 which cost me 2 years of files.
And tbh, within 5 years I would've bought a new tab because the battery is worn out and there's new and considerably better silicon. and changing batteries on tablets are costlier and more work if you DIY.
I bought a Xiaomi Pad 6 for 300€, and when changing the battery is 100€, and the tablet 2-3 years old, it's not really worth it.
TLDR: Quality over quantity updates

I have had this tablet for 3 days now, biometric is rubbish. Hit & miss on facial recognition, cloned perfectly with OnePlus 13 I had, but with other linked matters it struggles. No system updates yet but OP 13 had an update when I got it. High end games are fantastic and very fast, used a portable nvme 2TB SSD and work excellent. Impressed with graphics display, overall the tablet performance is very good. Price of $899.00 AUD for 16GB/512GB is excellent but another $300 for pen, smart keyboard and case has to be considered.

I can survive lack of OLED (but considering the aspect ratio it would be annoying not to have it)
But ar 600 euro it costs here I did expect fingerprint scanner...
Also 3 OS updates, I wanted to upgrade my Tab S9 (give it to a sibling) but that one is going up to Android 17 and a year of patches afterwards.
6 years of patches is nice on the Pad 3, but 3 OS updates makes it stop at Android 18, 4 or 5 OS updates would be more preferable at this pricepoint.
Great hardware though.

Bought this but I already know I'll regret not having the fingerprint scanner. No secure biometric authentication in 2025 is something I would never have expected to see.
Preordered it without thinking it was something to look out for, nowadays.
