OnePlus to announce HydrogenOS on May 28

Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has confirmed that HydrogenOS will be released in its home country of China on May 28.

For those who aren't in the know, HydrogenOS is the Chinese variant of the company's OxygenOS ROM, which was released for the One last month. It is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is said to feature battery life improvements and performance enhancements.

Meanwhile, Google is also expected to announce the next iteration of Android - currently codenamed Android M - at the company's annual I/O developer conference, which also kicks off on May 28.
