OnePlus Watch 2 passes through the FCC with huge battery
Ahead of its official unveiling next week, on February 26, today the OnePlus Watch 2 was spotted at the FCC. The necessary certification reveals the fact that the wearable will have a 500 mAh battery, which is pretty huge for a smartwatch.
For context, note that the original OnePlus Watch had a 402 mAh cell, and Samsung's Galaxy Watch6 in the larger size has to make do with 425 mAh. Only the Galaxy Watch5 Pro beats the upcoming OnePlus Watch 2, with its 590 mAh battery.
All of this is to say that the OnePlus Watch 2 should have very good battery life for a smartwatch. The FCC has also revealed it will have support for 10W charging, which matches what both aforementioned Samsungs can do. The certification additionally confirms the unsurprising presence of Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi on the OnePlus Watch 2.
The OnePlus Watch 2 will be offered in Radiant Steel and Black Steel colorways, and rumor has it Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset will do the heavy lifting, with the wearable running Google's Wear OS 4. We'll find out all the details in just a few days, stay tuned.

Health metric accuracy will be key. If it can get close to Huawei which are more accurate than the Galaxy Watch then they will have a viable product.

This. At least it's showing the way for Samsung who should have been at 500mah themselves by now after the Watch 5 pro.
