OnePlus Watch 3 delayed until April to fix Meda in China typo

Vlad, 25 February 2025

Bad news if you wanted a OnePlus Watch 3 and wanted it fast. While the company has unveiled the new smartwatch last week, and promptly started taking pre-orders for it, the release date, which was supposed to be today in some markets, has now been pushed back all the way to April.

And it all has to do with that hilarious Meda in China typo on the back of the watch. Apparently the entire initial production run has the typo, and OnePlus has already told people that they could get a free replacement if they receive this 'version' and are bothered by it.

So with the release delay pre-orders are still on, which means you're getting the minimum $30 discount (which varies based on market and can go higher). Then again, you will have to wait much longer for your pre-order to ship now.

In the meantime, we're busy working on our review of the OnePlus Watch 3, so keep an eye out for that.

OnePlus being good? nice joke. The price cutting comes from poor quality control and horrible software support, which OnePlus is famous for now.

For the people that don't give a sh*t about branding, it's the best phone (and now watch) ever.

I got mine in 03.03 😁 earlier than announced. It's "meda" in China, but it doesn't bother me at all.
