OnePlus Ace 2 Pro coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in August
China Joy is an annual digital and entertainment expo, taking place in Shanghai, and this year’s edition saw Liu Fengshuo, President of OnePlus Products Line, speak in front of the audience about the brand’s plans for the near future.
The executive revealed the Ace 2 Pro smartphone is coming next month, and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. He also said the new smartphone will have a “groundbreaking, first in the industry” cooling technology.
The new heat dissipation solution will stick to the stacking sheet design, but materials will be different, inspired by aerospace rockets, revealed OnePlus senior officers. According to early data, the phone will be up to 14.4 degrees Celsius cooler, but the reference point is unclear.
The total area of the cooling materials will be 9,140 sq. mm, which is an incredibly high number. For comparison, the Lenovo Legion Y70 has the biggest surface area, with slightly over 5,000 sq.mm.
OnePlus launched the Ace Pro in 2022 for the Chinese audience and later reintroduced the same device to its international fans as the OnePlus 10T. We expect the brand to do the same with this series, and once the Ace 2 Pro arrives in China, we will know what the OnePlus 11T will look like.
