OpenAI makes ChatGPT smarter and quicker for paying users

OpenAI just announced an update to its LLM (large language model) called GPT-4 Turbo – it is an improvement over the GPT-4 model that uses a more conversational language. The company revealed the new model will improve writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding.

Access to the new model will be limited to Plus, Team and Enterprise plan subscribers for the time being. Subscriptions are currently starting from $20/month.

ChatGPT will offer more recent responses, as the new edition of Turbo is using data, available up to December 2023; the current GPT4-Turbo version is trained on data up to April 2023.

The features are the same, the difference is access to higher bandwidth. The company OpenAI is, like Google or Apple, a for profit company. They just base their business on the open source project they're running.
