Oppo A72 5G passes through Geekbench revealing key specs
The Oppo PDYM20 that was spotted on China Telecom's website earlier this week and is believed to be the A72 5G has now popped up on Geekbench, along with its key specs.
The benchmark database reveals that PDYM20 runs Android 10 and has 8GB RAM on board, but it's expected to have two more RAM options - 4GB and 6GB. The device is powered by MediaTek's MT6853 chip, that has a base frequency of 2.0GHz.
The MT6853 is said to be MediaTek's unannounced Dimensity 720 SoC, which was briefly mentioned on the company's official site.
Circling back to the device, the Oppo PDYM20, according to China Telecom, will sport a 6.5" 90Hz display, with a punch hole in the upper-left corner for the 8MP selfie camera. The back of the smartphone will be home to a triple camera setup, comprising of 16MP, 8MP, and 2MP units.
The PDYM20 will feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader and pack a 3,945 mAh or 4,040 mAh battery that will draw power through a USB-C port at up to 18W.
The PDYM20 is expected to have three memory configurations - 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB that are said to be priced at CNY 1,699 ($240/€210), CNY 1,799 ($260/€225) and CNY 1,999 ($285/€250), respectively.

Chipset seems to have similar performance as 730G which is decent. Other specs are very pedestrian though. Though probably the cheapest 5G phone available.
