Oppo A98 5G gets NBTC certified
Last November, an Oppo smartphone bearing model code PHQ110 and believed to be the Oppo A98 5G got certified by China's TENAA. Now a new version of the A98, having model designation CPH2529, has been certified by Thailand's NBTC, taking it a step closer to launch outside China.
The Thai certifying authority doesn't reveal anything about the CPH2529 other than confirming 5G connectivity. However, thanks to TENAA, we know what the Chinese version will have to offer.
The Chinese Oppo A98 will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor and pack a 6.7" FullHD+ curved AMOLED display with a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.
The smartphone will come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It will be fueled by a battery with a rated capacity of 4,690 mAh and have three cameras in tow - 108MP primary, 2MP depth/macro, and 16MP selfie.

The specs mirror those of the Reno 8T 5G. Wondering why Oppo need to rename for Thailand, while the phone is on sale as Reno 8T 5G in the surrounding countries.

the realme 10 is faster than that. dimensity 1080 has 2.6ghz while this a98 has 2.2 so this phone is most likely to have dimensity 70p chipset.
