Oppo F19 arrives in India, sales start later this week at a slightly lower price than the F19 Pro

The Oppo F19 Pro and Pro+ went on sale in India last month, but their vanilla sibling is a bit late to the party – the Oppo F19 is only now arriving in the country and will go through a very short pre-order period (just a couple of days).

The RRP is set at INR 21,000, but as is often the case there’s already a discount applied, so the current price is INR 19,000 ($260/€220). That’s only slightly below the F19 Pro (INR 21,500) and F19 Pro+ (INR 23,500). Note that the Pro+ is currently closer INR 26,000 right now.

Like its siblings, the Oppo F19 can be found on Flipkart (which will start shipping units on April 8, Thursday) and Amazon (to ship on April 9, Friday). Brick and mortar stores will carry the phone as well. So, how does the F19 compare to its Pro siblings?

Well, it’s a 4G phone like the Pro (only the Pro+ does 5G). And it’s the only one with a Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 662, with 6 GB of RAM and 128 G storage (plus a microSD slot). The screen is a 6.43” AMOLED with 1080p+ resolution (60 Hz), same as the other two (the Pro+ does have GG5 protection).

The main 48 MP camera has the same lens and sensor, but crucially the ultra wide-angle module is gone. This leaves only two 2 MP modules, macro and depth. The non-Pro model also lost the ability to record 4K video. It has the largest battery of the three, 5,000 mAh, and it offers 33W fast charging (the Pro does 30W).

You can find a side-by-side comparison here. Note that the Oppo A74 (4G), which was quietly unveiled yesterday, is identical to the F19. It’s a regional thing, the A74 goes to the Philippines and Cambodia, the F19 to India and Sri Lanka.
