Oppo F27 5G to arrive soon, Pro+ is getting AI features next week
Oppo released the F27 Pro+ in June without AI features despite the company promising AI for all of its smartphone lines.
Today, the company confirmed the Pro+ midranger is getting four Generative AI features on August 22 via a software update. We also learned a vanilla midranger Oppo F27 5G is in the works, and it is "coming soon."
According to the announcement, the F27 Pro+ will receive an OTA update with AI Eraser 2.0, which removes background objects; AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, which crops objects as stickers; AI Studio, which generates images out of drawings, and AI LinkBoost to enhance call quality and optimize network usage.
Getting back to the F27 5G, we know virtually nothing about the new phone, aside from the fact that it will have a similar camera design with one big circle for three shooters and one LED flash. We expect Oppo to share more details in the upcoming days and weeks leading up to the event.

Their region segmentation and inventory clearance, basically. Those who maintain the database here don't merge devices with alternative names to one page, which would've made it easier for people to check.
