Oppo K12 Plus arrives with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 120Hz screen, and 6,400 mAh battery
As promised, Oppo today introduced the Oppo K12 Plus in China. It's powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard, expandable by up to 1TB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14 out of the box, but Oppo hasn't made any promises about the number of software updates it will receive.
The Oppo K12 Plus is built around a 6.7" 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display, having 1,100 nits peak brightness and wet touch control support. Oppo also boasts about its self-developed shock-absorbing diamond structure and the safety airbag design that provides all-around drop protection to the K12 Plus.
For photography, the Oppo K12 Plus sports three cameras - 50MP primary (with OIS), 8MP ultrawide, and 16MP selfie. The smartphone comes with an AI eraser and lets you create emojis by creating a cutout of a person, pet, or object from the photos.
Keeping the Oppo K12 Plus up and running is a 6,400 mAh battery with 80W wired and 10W reverse wired charging support. Oppo says the battery can be charged up to 50% in 20 minutes with an 80W power adapter.
Other highlights of the Oppo K12 Plus include an X-axis motor for 4D Vibration in games, dual speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP54 rating, and 5G connectivity.
Additionally, the Oppo K12 Plus comes with a 4,129mm2 liquid-cooled VC heat sink, 120 FPS gaming support for some games, and support for offline chat function to contact nearby friends with the phone without network connectivity.
The Oppo K12 Plus is offered in white and black colors with three memory options - 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY1,899 ($270/€245/INR22,610), CNY2,099 ($300/€270/INR24,990), and CNY2,499 ($355/€325/INR29,755), respectively. It's up for pre-orders in China through Oppo's official website, with sales beginning October 15.
