Oppo Pad Air and Enco R buds unveiled

Oppo took the wraps off its Reno8 series earlier today and it also announced a new tablet and a pair of wireless earbuds on stage. Oppo Pad Air is the maker’s second Android tablet entry bringing a 10-inch LCD, Snapdragon 680 chipset and 7,100 mAh battery. Enco R are a pair of affordable wireless earbuds with 13.4mm drivers and a combined 24 hour rated battery life.

Oppo Pad Air gets a 10.36-inch IPS LCD with 2000x1200px resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The tablet brings quad speakers with Dolby Atmos for multimedia consumption and true to its Air name weights in at just 440 grams. For optics - there’s an 8MP rear cam and a 5MP selfie cam.

The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable via microSD. Sadly there’s no cellular connectivity option on the Pad Air. ColorOS for Pad based on Android 12 covers the software side while the 7,100 mAh battery on the tablet supports 18W charging.

Oppo Pad Air comes in star silver and fog grey colors. The base 4/64GB model starts at CNY 1,299 ($195) while the top-end 6/128GB trim is going for CNY 1,699 ($255). Oppo is also offering several accessories including a keyboard cover (CNY 349 )and a stylus (CNY 299). Open sales in China begin on June 1.

Encor R are a budget pair of wireless earbuds with 13.4mm drivers and supports for the AAC and SBC codecs. There’s AI call noise reduction though no ANC feature. Each earbud weighs just 3.5 grams. Oppo is the promising 4-hour battery life on the buds and an additional 20 hours from the charging case.

The buds connect to any device via Bluetooth 5.2 and are IPX4-rated. Charging is done via USB-C.Oppo Enco R will retail for CNY 299 ($45) and are scheduled to go on open sale in China from June 1.

There is zero creativity in these products, design clone even the name. Whenever the oppo rep comes to our shop he is trying to convince them about all the innovation and I take it as amazing improvement, last time he was showing me how you can us...

Damn, they call it a 'pad air'. Are they literally too lazy to even think of a name for their product?
