Oppo R17 Pro will arrive in India on December 1

Yordan, 27 November 2018

Oppo introduced the R17 Pro in China back in the summer, but we had to wait until October 24 for an appearance away from the domestic scene. It was -launched in Europe under the RX17 Pro moniker, and now the phone is hitting India, with pre-orders starting on December 1.

The Indian division of Oppo teased the phone on its Twitter account, with launch dates appearing on the official website. While pre-orders are scheduled for Saturday, actual launch and shipments will begin next Tuesday - December 4.

Oppo R17 Pro will be the first Super VOOC smartphone in India. The phone is also the first Oppo smartphone with three cameras on the back, the third actually being 3D TOF depth sensor that you can’t use on its own.

The phone was initially introduced for CNY4,299 or $625 at that time. In Europe, it is available for €599, but we expect around 10% lower price tag for India, or somewhere between INR40,000 and INR45,000.

Actually, if they manage to highlight it's key features such as indisplay FP, gradient design and camera prowess, they can actually sell well. Samsung did extensive advertising for A7 and they're selling well.

Its price is insane & it will fail in indian market due to high price tag where you can get one plus 6t with S. D 845 chipset
