I've been looking for a new "stand-out" phone for quite some time now and my eyes actually first were set on the Gionee Elife S5.5 and then the followup Elife s5.1 just because of the thickness(thiness?) of these models.
This looks like the "one" but there's the battey life issue. The other thing is the Android Lollipop support. Since the processor is a 64bit version and 5.0's supposed to be optimized for this, could it be that the battery life might be lengthed by this?
I'm still gonna wait and see whether some wiz-kid manages to create a vanilla 5.0-software for the phone since I cannot stand these "greasy" non-google versions of Android...

Useless phone. Of course gullible people think this is a good phone just because it is thin.

No card slot, so 16gb in present is too low. And battery is too low
So its change this matter.

Heat management will have to be seen. Also how well this phone handles 'bendgate'.

AnonD-319999, 29 Oct 2014There is a conflict in the display size in the Oppo website... moreIt's 5.2"
The easiest way to find which is the correct is to see the PPI, in this case, if the display was 5.5 the PPI will have to be 400 ppi.

Well, I have some thoughts about this phone after seeing the specifications.
This phone is, for now, the slimmest phone intended for people who want to look stylish. However, just like the previous slimmest phone, this phone had to sacrifice its battery life for looks. Which means, you need to bring a power bank anytime and anywhere. Also, when we are talking about updates, OPPO doesn't really care about other types except for its flagship, the find 7.
Regardless of what I've said above, this phone is using the world first 64-bit octa-core which is tempting enough for gadget freaks to buy it.
