I bought Oppo R9s mainly for its camera spec on top of other specs, wright and features.
The picture quality from its camera is very sub standard. Even in pretty good light, the photos are grainer and cannot be blown up even to A4 size. Previously I had Moto X Play whose camera was simply fantastic. I am so much disappointed that I am going to replace it now.

I just concern about software update. Overall this phone was good. But imagine have great phone without update just a waste hadrware

I had a Oppo Find 7 which was an OK phone until it started being unresponsive and freezing - I ended up throwing it away after less than 2 years.
This Oppo R9s I got on a good deal but it has been the worst phone I've ever owned - I have owned about 8 over the last ten years.
Specific issues are that the email takes ages to display and if you get two emails from someone at the same company, it labels ALL the email from this company with the same labels so it is impossible to tell the emails apart!
The alarm for meetings/appointments does not work - it gives you the option of setting alarms in the past!! Yeah, like..two hours AGO...or 30 minutes AGO ...duh.
Their ColorOS overlay is rubbish and worse than anything from HTC or Samsung.
It is very badly configured and clunky. It is also, I've heard impossible to root it and put some plain Android on it to get rid of the horrible ColorOS.
I have had this phone about 3 months and I can't see myself using it next year.
Customer service is trite and useless. I will never buy an Oppo again.
And by the way, they have nothing to do with the company called Oppo that makes very good Blu Ray players - these dudes apparently just bought the right to use the name...I'd guess there are some regrets from the real Oppo now...
