Oppo Reno11 series will get generative AI features globally

Oppo has announced the establishment of the Oppo AI Center to strengthen its AI capabilities and "explore a broader range of user-centric AI products and features that will enable OPPO to bring users the latest experiences at the forefront of AI." Additionally, the brand announced that the Reno11 series unveiled last year will get generative AI features within Q2 2024.

Oppo didn't share the entire list of generative AI features the Reno11 lineup will receive but confirmed the series will get the AI Eraser. The brand also confirmed that the generative AI features will be rolled out for the Reno11 smartphones globally and won't be exclusive to China.

Commenting on the announcement, Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer, Oppo, said, "Following feature phones and smartphones, next-gen AI Smartphones will represent the third major transformative stage in the mobile phone industry. In the era of AI Smartphones, both the mobile phone industry and user experience will witness revolutionary changes. OPPO is dedicated to becoming a contributor and promoter of AI Smartphones."

The Reno11 series consists of three smartphones - Reno11, Reno11 Pro, and Reno11 F. It's unclear if Oppo intends to expand the lineup or launch the Reno12 series next.
