Question for someone who really uses this phone: Does the Oppo Reno 13 pro (Global Edition) support numbers on all app badges (especially WhatsApp, mail, messages) or does it only have red dots?

Despite the review claiming it has 50W wireless charging it has no wireless charging at all! Probably wouldn't have purchased it if I had known that as I use wireless charging every day in my car, now I'll have to muck around with a cord. Not happy.

Curious to know since in India also we got the global version specs, and it'd be really great if the device is getting 5+6 update policy.

I would like to add one more factor to your findings.Keep in mind that you should compare the brightness to your current phone. I did look up peak brightness of my S20 FE 5g and find that it has only peak brightness of 823 nits. So that means going up to 1200 nits is a 33% improvement in direct sunlight. For me that should be more then enough. Bare in mind that I live in Northern Europe so my experience is not comparable with users living in all day sunny places like India.

Please add af to ultrawide specs on reno 13 and 13 pro, review of reno 13 and specs page from oppo mentions autofocus on ultrawides. Also please add minimum autofocus distances for s25 ultra, your review mentioned them.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro costs 459 euros.

I thought it was priced costlier in India, but seems actually from what you're saying, it's around 15% to 20% lower than cost of S24+ & OP12, and with credit card offers we can easily get additional 10% discount(50K INR actual price for base variant which reduces to 45K INR after CC discount in Flipkart). Majority of users here are still agitated with the aforementioned pricing itself by Oppo, since our typical Indian mindset has been evolved to expect a sports car to be priced at the cost of a budget hatchback car (pun intended).

In here, Pixel 8 equates to Reno 13 pro's cost, but most people don't prefer it mainly because of - Tensor, poor battery endurance and network stability issue is a huge drawback for Pixel phones in our market, majority of users/reviewers acknowledged it and after service is poor too. Pixel 8 pro is roughly 50% higher compared to Reno 13 pro's price, so you get the picture. And that Xiaomi model you mentioned is not available here, even if it had been available, only a minority of people have the guts to buy it, since HyperOS' Indian version is much different & much worse compared to EU/China's HyperOS version. It's almost like they send only the beta updates as actual updates to India and the final tested/bug free updates to other regions.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2025How is the screen legibility outdoors? Is it OK in direct s... moreI would just say above average or decent enough, that's about it.

You can sustain if you're using max 1 or 2 hrs in direct sunlight, I'd used it once exactly during mid noon , completely outdoors, it was surely usable as I had to book cab and monitor it till driver came close to me. So I'd say that was roughly around 20-30 mins, and after getting inside of cab also I had to use for a while.

Overall usage that day within cab and full outdoor was a total of 1.5 to 2 hrs. Device got bit warmed up(not heat up) , though didn't crash or hang by any means. It was almost same as we experience during rapid charging mode or while gaming for long session. I roughly remember seeing temp around 37-38°c in device, which dropped the moment I entered indoors. Also, do note that it gets really hot at our city (in India) during noon, touches upto 39°c easily along with high humidity around that time.

I would conclude sunlight legibility for Reno 13 pro as mediocre(not poor by any means). They have used almost same display specs as im Reno 12, which is a bummer. But I'm more of an indoor user, majority if the time, so it suits well for my case. However, it won't be the same for people already having eye strain issues or even elderly age group people might find it diffcult to use it outdoors.

HBM should've been around 1600 to 2000 nits , atleast for Reno 13 pro, which would've made it better in terms of outdoor use than it is currently now. But seems Oppo had other ideas.

                                    Hey guys,

which phone do you recommend? Reno13 Pro or Nothing Phone 3a Pro? According to the specifications, Reno13 Pro is the better device, right? But I'm still undecided.
What about updates for Reno13 Pro? Do they come regularly?
