People saying about being small sensor, yea it's small but
it has 1.5k display, flagship haptic motor, 50mp 3.5x telephoto (up to 120x zoom), ip69, aluminum frames, glass back, 6000mah battery with 80W charging, AI features same as their flagship models and 5 years of major android updates and 6 years for security update (confirmed by oppo customer service) since reno 13 actually.
UFS 3.1 and usb type c 2.0 only make look bad on paper but doesn't affect the real life usage. 7 out of 10 people even forget ultra wide lens exist on their phones including me, so this one s not that necessary.
This is more like all rounder entry level flagship like phone.
I would say this is still much better than vivo x200 fe in terms of price...

Why can't Oppo just ditch the 8MP Ultrawide shooter and just replace it with at least a 12MP one so that it can finally record 4k Videos. Clearly it won't be adding to the cost because other phones that are much cheaper have it.

Anyway, here are the detailed camera specs of the global reno14:
• main camera: 50MP 1/1.95 Sony IMX882 (aka, LYT-600 / LYT600c) 26mm at 1x (52mm at 2x) f/1.8
• ultrawide: 8MP 1/4 Omnivision OV08D 15mm at 0.6x, f/2.2
• telephoto: 50MP 1/2.75 Samsung isocell JN5 85mm (some sources say 80mm) at 3.5x with 170mm at 7x, W-shaped periscope, f/2.8
• selfie: 50MP 1/2.75 isocell JN5 21mm f/2.0

JJ, 21 Jun 2025to be honest a sensor of just 1/4" is a joke I tho... moreA56 1/1.56 is actually the main sensor, you miss understood with oppo ultrawide sensor and the main lens, i think it might be like the reno 13 (1/1,9)

I thought the norm nowadays are about 1/1.4"(honor400 without pro, up to 6 upgrade) or 1/1.55 (vivo v50)
even a Samsung Galaxy A56 can hve a sensor 1/1.56", i believe it s cheap too (also up to 7upgrade) 1/1.3 if its A56 Ultra w 200mp for main camera too
& even my old Iphone15 (not pro , not max) has a 1/1.56" sensor
but the Reno14 glass is good and w resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels
though its price seemed cheaper than honor 400
