Oppo Reno7 Z 5G is official with Snapdragon 695, AMOLED screen, and Dual Orbit Lights

Oppo announced the Reno7 series last November consisting of three smartphones - Reno7 5G, Reno7 Pro 5G, and Reno7 SE 5G. That number increased to four today since Oppo has unveiled the Reno7 Z 5G.

The Reno7 Z 5G was slated to be introduced tomorrow at an event in Thailand at 4:30PM local time, but Oppo has already revealed all the specs and features of the Reno7 5G ahead of the launch.

The Oppo Reno7 Z 5G is built around a 6.43" 60Hz FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a punch hole in the top-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera. The rear panel of the smartphone, flaunting the Oppo Glow Design, sports a triple camera system comprising 64MP primary, 2MP monochrome, and 2MP depth sensors.

The smartphone comes with some AI-powered camera features, and we also get Dual Orbit Lights that light up when you receive notifications or the phone is charging. This isn't a feature that's new to Oppo smartphones. We've seen it before on the Reno7 Pro 5G. However, the difference here is that we are getting RGB lights placed around the cameras, while the Reno7 Pro 5G has it around the camera island.

The Oppo Reno7 Z 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC, boots Android 11-based ColorOS 12, and has 8GB RAM, which can be further expanded virtually up to 5GB. The smartphone has 128GB of storage onboard, expandable up to 1TB through a microSD card.

The rest of the Reno7 Z 5G's highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, splash resistance, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 33W charging. Oppo says the bundled 33W adapter can fill this cell from flat to 31% in 15 minutes and 100% in 63 minutes.

The Oppo Reno7 Z 5G comes in Rainbow and Black colors, but its pricing and availability details are currently unknown. We'll likely find that out at tomorrow's event.
