Oppo signs Lamine Yamal as global brand ambassador
Oppo announced today that Lamine Yamal will become the brand's new global ambassador. The Barcelona winger will help the company promote its new devices, starting with the Find X8 Pro flagship and Reno13 midranger.
Lamine Yamal is touted as the next football superstar. At just 16 years old, he was the youngest player to win the UEFA Euro championship and also won the Young Player of the Tournament award at Euro 2024 last summer.
Oppo said in a press release that the company decided to go for the Barcelona-born player because he represents “authenticity and uniqueness,” values that are strongly aligned with the brand and its smartphones.
The partnership is also a continuation of Oppo's partnership with football brands, including the UEFA Champions League, where it is the Official Smartphone Product Partner until 2027, and the 2007 Ballon d'Or winner Kaka.
