Our Xiaomi Redmi 9 (Prime) video review is up

Xiaomi's vast popularity was built on its Redmi roster of smartphones and their amazing value for money proposition.

The Redmi 9, available globally, follows the same winning pattern. Its price currently hovers around €110-€130 for the lowest storage variant of 3GB/32GB.

Xiaomi has also just unveiled the Redmi 9 Prime in India, which is essentially the same phone. It starts at INR9,999, which equals the same price as the international model but it's for the higher storage config of 6GB/64GB.

We already did our detailed written review and now Angie took it for a spin on our YouTube channel where she covered all the major pros and cons of this affordable handset. Regardless whether you are looking to get the Redmi 9 or the Redmi 9 Pro all points ring true.

The Redmi 9 looks and feels more premium than its price suggests and it comes with a large display of Full HD+ resolution, although the brightness could be a bit better. Its large battery delivers excellent endurance and while its cameras aren't spectacular they do a solid job for the class.

While the UI is a bit laggy at times and the phone isn't great at heavy gaming, it does have some neat connectivity features for this price segment - proper FM radio, actual 3.5 mm audio jack, room for a dedicated microSD card and an IR blaster.
