smart phones are not suppose to have wifi! go ask any mobile sales person. saying a smartphone a wifi, is like saying american cars are fuel efficient. hasn't happened up to date. but maybe one day will.

I am using Treo 680. Very happy with it's performance. Would like to stick to Treo brands in future, recomend the same.

From what i know, i understand that wifi is a very important feature in all pda right now, however i want ti bring out the point whereby wifi not essential but beneficial, alot of comsumers out there didnt know that by end of 3 years all subscribers has to pay singtell monthly for the wifi usage...and i believe palm feels that if u comsumers got to pay for the wifi why not bundle their products with telcom with their data plans instead...and this is the main reason y palm doesnt implement wifi in this model...

Oh dear god, Just because it's a smart phone DOES NOT MEAN it has to have WIFI, when will people that slag phones because it doesn't have the specs they want realise that if they don't like the phone then DON'T LOOK IT UP!!!

Look for the phone that has the specs you want in the phone!!!!

Palm please wake up! Build to comsumers/users desired specifications, not what you desired to build. I want Palm OS qwerty design with Wifi. HTC/dopod simply able to achieve super specs and yet Palm is struggling with piece meal specs!

The spec are outdated for serious buyers, this model is for kids!

hmmm still holding on to my treo 650 n samsung i600.
no need for a change as the i600 hv got all respectable feature.. only need some upgrade in the os to improve speed.

                    cheers

Each time I ask if Palm will come up with a phone or pda that will be a WOW!!! But it never came and now Palm is a WAS company and no point buying its hardware.

Well, in asia wifi isn't that well implemented and even in the US there aren't that many places with free wifi.

I wonder why phone makers keep making such kinds of phones. What segment of the market are they trying to satisfy? Why make a phone like this in this time and age without WIFI, etc? Such rubbbish!

on the contrary my friend. wifi is spread all over. southern and eastern africa, central and south America. all over. and HTC, Nokia and others already realized they must offer wifi. what about palm?

I´m surprised that palm´s still rolling out product without wi-fi. One more product like this and I would migrate my 50+ employye company to Qtek products, bye bye palm forever

very dissapointed in palm, such a low-end device.. misunderstooded design, no wifi, no innovations.. not worth for an attention

Worldwide, there are few countries where wifi is common. If you're from one of these places, why pay extra for a feature you don't need?

Palm hasn't let me down! This one looks good. Don't hate, it's better when to have the palm when you're without a laptop! As far as the GSM comment below, seems like you dont go overseas as much!
