My Comment Posted in Sept 2005.
An hour after I bought it in Low Yat Plaza , Kuala Lumpur, it fell off the neck strap, bounced on the pavement then fell through a slot into the drain on Jalan Alor! It wasnt raining so it wasnt washed away. I picked it up, dried it out and the next day it was perfect again!
Before buying the A100 I had read the comments about transmission noise that the other person hears. Nevertheless I bought it. After a year, the noise occurred too often for the phone to be my primary communication device. I gave it to my daughter a few days ago because of its perfect usability as an sms phone (I don't give her enough cedit to make many calls!) and because of the excellent My Composer.

I had a same problem with Trish, about the date/time setting. But now, i know how to fix it.
1. Switch off the phone and take the simcard out.
2. When switch the phone on, press phone picture (usualy it is green), the * (star) key and no. 3 together (long press), at the same time, press the switch on key.
Your phone will run well (date and time setting).
Anybody know the serial number or the name of the data cable? Is it possible to upgrade the software, that this phone has GPRS (as GD 55 has)? Please help me.

I am using this small phone 4 last six months and its working fine. Only problem is the mic which is quite far from mouth. Just on the handsfree and its fine. Battery lasts for long 3-4 days.

This is actually a brilliant little phone. Small enough to even attach to a keyring (seriously!), it is light, configurable enough for your every need, and with a good selection of ringtones which are different from *that* one.... No-one else you know will have one. Two problems. Firstly, you can't download any new tones, so you're stuck with what you have. Secondly is simply one of mechanics, in that because your mouth is going to be far from the mouthpiece, you can sound a bit quiet over the other end when speaking. Other than these minor quibbles, a nice little phone!

hello
i got this a100 yesterday and
i need a little help about the menu.
1
i found the call service in the application
menu, but i didn't know how to disable my
withhold id function. is it an enable/disable
function or what? i didn't notice whether
i had the possibility to switch off.
2
i had a number in the phone memory from
the previous user, but i wasn't able to erase it.
is there any "erase" function in the contacts menu?
thanx
