Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 to be available across retail outlets

Prasad, 26 December 2017

Panasonic has announced that its first dual camera smartphone — the Eluga Ray 500 — will now be available across all major offline retail outlets across India.

The phone was launched earlier this year in September but was only available online exclusively through Flipkart. Now the phone will also be available offline in addition to being available on Flipkart.

The Eluga Ray 500 is a budget smartphone with a 5-inch 720p IPS display, a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, and 3GB RAM along with 32GB expandable storage. The back of the phone has a dual camera system, featuring a 13 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel secondary wide-angle camera, making it one of the cheapest smartphones on the market with a dual camera system, that too with a usable second lens and not just a pointless depth sensor. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery.

The Eluga Ray 500 will be priced at the same INR 8999 ($140) across all channels. It will be available in three colors, Champagne Gold, Mocha Gold and Marine Blue.
