18W fast charging for a 2014 smartphone? If this isn't an error, it would be outstanding.

The Note 4 with its then-new adaptive fast charging (rebranded Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0) had 15 W, and that was already outstanding.

There is just one limitation: Android 4.4's SD card write restrictions. Especially bad for a camera. I think the stock camera app can write to MicroSD, but third-party apps would have to write in their Android/data subdirectories only.

So sad Panasonic is no longer making phones. They could have been a big player in the smart phone market if they wanted to!
Now Panasonic is on the verge to be bankrupt! :(

I had this mobile/camera. The best a man can get. It got malfunction with lens coming out. I got it replaced by warranty. Then i sold it. Android version was too old already to cop with many apps.
There is no doubt that till today, no mobile can compare the picture quality due to Leica.
I then shifted to Huawei P series as it is also Equipped with Leica. In my opinion, Huawei P series is the best mobile camera at this time.

I agree, it's a very special piece of tech. The problem is that I cannot buy one anymore, I can't find it anywhere.

I know that in 2021, a lot of phones has better camera and specs, so obviously, why would you buy this from a practicality perspective? But in my heart, this phone will always be the king of camera phones. A pro camera that is both a smartphone and boasts nice specs at the time of launch.

beep bop boop, 04 Apr 2021never did, i dont even know what Quad Bayer sensor isQuad Bayer simply means, binning of pixels. Let me give you an example, suppose a camera is native 48 mp if its quad Bayer it would bin four pixels to one thus the resultant image would be 12 mp. Same is the case for nona pixels that would bin nine to one thus the Samsungs ultra 108 mp image is rendered to 12 mps.

And now in May 2021, it's great to see someone doesn't fall to the Quad Bayer or Nona Bayer hype and made a phone with the same camera sensor type as this Panasonic phone. God really bless Sharp with the Aquos R6.

beep bop boop, 08 Apr 2021so its goal is to preserve detail, whats the downside? No, the goal is not to preserve detail. That's the downside. The goal is to create one effectivr large sensor pixel size without having a large camera sensor in the first place. Let me put it this way: it is possible to build a native 12MP RGB sensor with 1.6 or 2.4 micron pixel, but we don't have that because the construction would be more than complicated than building a 48MP Quad Bayer sensor with 0.8 micron pixel.

Basically, it's a pixel binning system that combines neighbouring pixel of the same colour filter to create one large effective pixel size at the expense of detail loss.
