abhi, 30 Oct 2014Pls tel me that its upgrdable to kitkst orntNo. I had sent a mail to 'contact us' on Panasonic India on the same and they said 'no knowledge'. But that was around one month back. I think now they should provide update to KitKat otherwise similar hardware is available for below rs. 10,000. Look at Huawei Honor. Two features that are not available in sub10k phones are: (1) inbuilt call recorder feature in which you can set default phone no. also (2) battery power management. I also am waiting for KitKat to buy this phone.

Camera is okay (can't compare with sony or samsung) No lags is my experience.. no freezing.. )the only Problem is, that Most likely there won't be updates... and soon there could start app compatibility issues.. approx 5.5 GB user space available on internal memory,. I have put a 64 GB class 10 Micro SD. and its working flawlessly. approx 350 MB free ram.. but haven't noticed any lags.. No I am Not a Gamer at all..

AnonD-321031, 18 Oct 2014Hi, i want to buy new smartphone, but really confused among... moreI have used personally Both P81 and Auxus note 5.5.. its okay.. I feel They both are neck to neck.. auxus note has kitkat whereas p81 has Jellybean.. Auxus has 2 GB ram.. P81's 2500 mAH battery backup Practically is better than Auxus 3200 mAH. Despite Kitkat and 2GB Ram.. and over 1 GB free RAM, under similar situations, UI of Auxus note 5.5 Stutters and slows at times.. but Panasonic, despite 300-350 MB free ram is more fluidic experience.. but lot of Bloatware in P81, whereas no such thing in Auxus Note 5.5. Camera of Auxus is better focused in daylight than equivalent P81's.. but on zoom P81's shots fare better... but in low light, performance is equivalent. front camera is better in Auxus Note 5.5.. I expect Panasonic to provide better customer care, but hear that no updates for P81.. Purchased p81 yesterday. but feeling betrayed by No Update..
I hope it helps someone.. If you want advice, have a look at Gionee G5 or even better Xolo q 2100.. But find a way to disable Auto update from xolo.. you might notice some nuisance after that update.. specially while changing brightness mode manually.. from Power control widget, Xolo Q 2100's brightness starts to flickers a few times before fixing to desired brightness.. No other problems noted (may be I am nitpicking,, and I am a sensitive person).. If you leave it in one mode permanently (like in Auto Brightness mode.. absolutely no problem even after update).. and let me tell you, Auto Brightness mode works exceptionally well.. otherwise Xolo Q 2100 is an excellent phone with good camera.. with sony's Exmor-R 8 MP sensor giving good snaps battery backup 20 Hours of Moderate to heavy use in poor network signal zone... nothing will come closer in that price range.. Having said that, Panasonic offers a better respected brand name.. for someone who cares about it.. if all you care about is the phone, any one will do..
