dicky1, 11 Jul 2014Panasonic P81 does not have MS Exchange Active Sync setup ... moreI am really surprised that it does not have Active sync. Nearly all smart phones have it. I have 3# P51 in my family and all very happy with it and this P81 being an advanced version over P51 should be having it.

Just check again. Please confirm by trying these steps (from my P51 settings but it should be the same) Click on Email - Set up account next - Select Account - Other - Next - Enter your office email address and password and then next - "what type of account is this" should give you 3 options POP3 - IMAP - Exchange. Click on Exchange and complete your mail setup.

If Exchange ActivSync is not there, you can try Emoze mail app for Android - my colleague is using on his Samsung Grand Duos for last 4 months now and he is happy.

Panasonic technical team in Gurgaon hss been unable to find any solution in last one month.

dicky1, 08 Jul 2014Dear Sudhanshu, I am convinced it is a real problem with P8... moremy second sim is not detecting at once.have to remove and re insert the sim for more than 10 times na only the second sim is detecting.after 2 days again it shows no sim card detected in slot 2, then again have to reinsert 2sim for 5 times. any one facing dis problem.plz help me.

Sudhanshu, 06 Jul 2014@dicky...first check whether you are allowed to check mails... moreHi Im not able to configure Exchange mails for my official use which was so easy on IPhone and other models. this phone really sucks in that. and also the google maps crashes suddenly while loading. I read dicky also could not set up exchange mails. Any body HELP!!!

What is the problem you are facing - configuring office email or SIM not working. Configuring office mail is independent of SIM. If you are able to access mail from any other mobile, then it MAY be a problem with P81.

I have said in my group, friends were cursing Samsung Grand and Panasonic P51 as not able to access office mail (talking of Outlook and not Lotus Notes). Later when problem reported to the IT Helpdesk, we came to know that their mail access over mobile was blocked. So my point was to confirm first your access to mail over mobile is approved.

Dear All,
it has been my hobby for last one year to read all reviews and make comparison of all the mobiles.I concluded that:
1.Mobile manufacturing companies are doing business.
2.But none of their products are free from defect.
3.It is my opinion that at least the companies should ensure smooth and perfect performance of specified functions in their diff.model so that the customer need not run to CC center.
4.It seems that companies neither take feed back from their CC centers nor read these reviews.
5.Giving attractive Ads on media and highlighting specific Apps helps them to achieve their sales target.They neither ensure value for money nor ensure quality of product before sending it to market.
6.There is no end to high end mobile.
7.It is better to limit our desire according to requirement without comparing with other model or user.

I have shown it to Pansonic service center and their marketing team and they have accepted that it is a s/w problem. Can you tell me what did your friend try to make it working ?
