Panasonic X300 with pop-up screen

21 March, 2004

The new Panasonic X300 is the first mobile phone featuring a unique one-push button pop-up screen. Such kind of screens is mainly used on camcorders and come to make filming easier by holding the mobile phone sideways, rather then straight on. The Panasonic X300 screen flips with the push of a single key.

The X300 phone features a built-in VGA camera supplied with a handy self-timer. It also has a 65k color display, video record and playback capability and polyphonic ring tones. By supporting GPRS and MMS the X300 allows users to send photos and even video clips to a PC or other compatible phone. It is also triband, which means that pictures and video images can be shared from wherever you are in the world.

At CeBIT Panasonic also presented the A100 series with 3 models - A100, A101 and A102, which differ only in appearance. The phones have monochrome display and polyphonic ringtones and are clearly the follow-ups of the very popular Panasonic GD55.
