Vipassana , 12 Jul 2014How to deactivate the SMS 80 characters limit? Dear I have Sky A830L and I have just solved the 80 character limit problem on my set. All you have to do is to dial the code ##7593# and then the second option in that list (which will appear after dialing the code) is SMS prefer mode. Tap on that and then select "PS_Only". All done and you are good to go and can send longest SMS as you like. Only thing here is that its built in app will not work for this. You need to install "GO SMS Pro" to send long SMS. While writing this reply I am sending a 70/4 SMS (means 4 SMS to my self and it is working fine.

If you want to turn on 3g on Vega No 6, just dial ##7593# and it will automatically go to UMTS Settings.
In UMTS Settings list, look for WCDMA/GSM Band Select, make sure that it is set to AUTOMATIC. In RRC Version select R8(HSDPA+). Then Restart the PHONE. It will gives you an LTE and 3g connection after your phone restart.. :)

If you want to use the 3g connection of the phone i'll advised you 2 do it manually instead just go to settings-more-mobilenetworks-accespointnames-then select menu - tap new apn - for globe subs for name julst type in globe then apn is http.globe.com.ph tap menu again and save.. that's it u will notice the 3g icon popped up beside the signal bars.. if still not showing just restart the phone..
For sms limit issues u can download sms app via playstore but if it didn't work you should requests ur phonebto be rooted. Hope this one helps..

Hi,
Is anyone know how to fix my phone problem with regards to unable to connect on 3G, even if it says from the network that is has already the mms/3g features activated. From the phone settings of mobile network I can't access the option mobile data and from the APN option it has nothing there.Please kindly help, also sometimes I encountered unable to send message eventhough my sim has load and it has signal. My sim is SMART. philippines. Thanks.
