I am unhappy with my phone. Design and display is really good. But cameras are not good. I think camera shatters and flesh light are very weak. Really I am unhappy for that.

I tried to use this set as a gprs modem.
But I failed...
May be I need a driver...
If u have please let me know...

this is a clone hp(SE+Nokia) just compare its design,(keypads) its almost the same as nokia 6233. but, i'm impress with the multifunctional conector (usb+charger+headset). sms'ing is v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v slow. it took you ages to types. some ringing ones are copied or modified from other brands e.g nokia-SE

Well you need to copy the jar and jad file into your phone not mmc and then click on it and it will ask you if u want to instrall opera mini or not after that you can find it in the java games

This Phone is truly a beauty. With an IrDA adapter i use it as a gprs modem. The phone software works perfectfy with IrDA connection. Now i can check internet, send email & mms, organize tasks everything !!! I also found many addictive GAME for this phone. Of course you should ask for them now !!!
** One who asked about webcam: turn on your webcam option in phone and connect the data cable to pc. If you are using windows xp, then it will automatically detect it as usb webcam. Then you can capture your moments from windows movie maker or any video editing software. You can also use it while chatting... just configure it in your messenger.

regarding some query i like to share some of experience with this phone.. yes it can be used as a modem in your pc for internet and mms access but according to philips it worked for irda adapter only. software that was provided with the cd can be downloaded from philips consumer online. And for louder ringtone you can try mp3 rintones.

I am user of Philips 789 for less than a year now. But i wanted to use my 1 gig mini SD but I don't know how. If we try to bluetooth an mp3 music it says file not supported. And I want to add that my CD installer is broken, is there a way I can reaplce it? Or maybe I can download the software. I am soo frustrated but I love this phone very much. I badly need an answer.

has this phone before.it was a honest phone,however,too many 'slight' problems.
i dislike the video and mp3 function.very problematic.it can't do wat its said to do well.the phone also has a very unresponsive bluetooth function.
the built-in speaker wasnt designed for music playback.

Having used this 768 now for over a year, I must say its been one of the better phones i have had. Bluetooth functionality has been very good. the screen lighting is very nice. the camera leaves a bit to be desired, but the overall performance and size are great. Only downfall is that it does not sync with my Mac very well as there is no driver/software for it. thus Bluetooth has been my friend. :)
