Yes but philips has 9MG against 7MG ofered by alcatel, and don´t forget that alcatel doesn´t have a TV LINK conection anda philips does.

hey miquel, be smart, you are arguing against alcatel which puts your company as low as alcatel. Readers, be aloof if you really like true high tech phones, watch out the top companies, have a look at designs like samsung p-730, sonyericsson k700, motorola mpx100 or even nokia 7610

Yes I think so. I think they will do the same like philips. The partner will produce the mobile phones and alcatel will give the technology and their brand will be presented on the phones, but alcatel also said they are trying to set up a joint venture with another company just like sony and ericsson did. So I don't know for sure if the alcatel logo will appear on any future mobile phones.

OK, apology accepted. I think this solution is better for alcatel, cause they also have most of the technology like philips, and it would be a shame if they quit totally.

You shut your mouth, if you don't read the news don't talk. I've read it in several newspapers also in an french newspaper: La Tribune. A spokesman from alcatel didn't confirm but underlined that they're looking for an partner. So before you open your mouth again read the newspaper first, cause I'm only saying what i've read

miquel, whatever your name is, as it happens to know, my father is a alcatel creater/ phone designer, and has been for the last 4 1/2 years, and im afraid to say, all that shit about alcatel selling there product to a chinese/japaneese buisness, is a load of shit, and stop fucking spreading fucken shit like that, because u dam know that alcatel isnt selling, and neather do i, so shut your mouth!

An 256K color display isn't that necesarry that's why not al the phones to be launched have that display type. 65K with 128x160 pixels is just fine. The phones philips has presented are great. They are to be launch also three other models including Philips 636, Philips 650 and the Xenium color clamshell. The models with touchscreen are unique cause only philips makes that kind of displays and there's no other manufacturer who has such models on the market or plans to do that. And for the people who love alcatel: I have to admit the 835 is really attractive but i wouldn't buy it because the 855 from philips has more functions (no video recording though) but that isn't really necessary. And i've just heard that alcatel will sell his mobile phone division to an chinese partner cause they couldn't make any profit. That's to bad.

Screen's too bad to be a great phone.
101x80 pixels....very old technology. Nowadays phones have around 176x220 pixels and 65K or 256K!!

Ok, philips is not the best, but i think this area is made for write about philips, there are other areas to talk about the other manufacters like SE, or nokia etc...
Justa one thing, this philips has 9MG, you didn´t teel me yet, where can i find a touch screen phone made by alcatel...If you find please tell me...:)
