I still have this phone and it's the most amazing thing possible! No FB...no Tweeter...you really have the chance to just enjoy your life and people around you. My life is private, nobody tracks me or floods me with hidden commercials. I highly recommend you tu purchase this phone!

This is the most worthless phone could ever be manufactured by any company.I have used this phone for 1.8 years. The sound quality sucks. There is no attarctive feature that could be useful. The camera is horrible and so is the picture quality. The price is also very high.
The only good thing about this would be the looks....its just awesome.
So,you can take it as a piece of junk, nicely packaged.
thank GOD the manufacturing has stopped

OK, the pros and cons...
PROs...
#1. Looks and Feels Good. (Superb Ergnomics)
#2. Genreous LCD Size
#3. Good LCD Picture Quality, Nothing to rave about though.
#4. Good Camera. At least the images are not shaky.
And now the CONs...
#1. The User Interface is Crammy. In my opinion its a nightmare to use. Really difficult to navigate.
#2. The Power Off Key comes in the way of the right softkey all the time. Pressing this will not take you to the main menu; instead it will prompt you to hold down to turn the phone off.
#3. The "OK" button doubles up as a menu button, and a C button that goes into Delete most of the time, which is not what you want to do to when you're asked as simpele Yes/No Question.
#4. Navigating around the call log list for missed calls and calling the numbers back or deleting them is a crazy procedure. And the singular OK button doesn't do much to help. The phone can get quite unusable at times when you need to do stuff in a hurry.

ehh this phone is alright. i have this phone and i also have the problem with the low volume. another thing is the setup can be a bit confusing; it's not very user friendly. in my opinion it wasn't really worth it's price.

I have this phone since 2 days ago. I like it but ... sometimes when you open it the screen is white and you have to close and open it again. Also the commands are slow fulfiled. There is no mp3 .... and that is bad. What can I do?

Hi folks at GSMArena...
I´m experiencing *BIG* troubles with this phone, which i bought two days ago.
When i turn on the phone (without a SIM card), it enters directly on its main screen, asking for a SIM Card. At this time, when i press the OK button, instead of entering into the main menu, nothing happens. All keys do not work, except for the On/Off button. It seems to me that all keyboard functions gone crazy and are unusable.
The same event happens when i put the SIM Card but, at this time, after i turn on the phone, it shows the main splash screen, and asks for the PIN Code. When i try to put the code, nothing happens again. The only key working is the On/Off button.
Please... is there a way to proceed a master reset on this phone, or a way to unlock my functions on this mobile?
Thanks to everyone!!
Luciano

Dear Marcois, even if this phone did not arrive in romania yet,I am looking forward to buy it. I would just like you to confirm that it has a fuul metal body, it is an important feature for me. It looks like metal in the photos, but I have not found any clear mention anywhere on the net. Thanks

well for all the posters who have strong opinions about this phone, but do not OWN one, listen up. I do own one, and it's a very nice little phone. Good reception, decent camera (for the money), nice color screen, good internet features, and it really fits into any pocket. What the heck else is a phone in this price range supposed to do? and by the way, I don't think bluetooth is necassary in a phone, so I don't miss it, though I understand others feel differently. I use phones for a month or two and move on. I've had nokia, Motorola, Sony, Sendo, Siemens (least fav) and this Philips is as good as any of them. Actually, it's better than any Moto, Siemens or Sony I've owned.

This is basically on par with the rest of high end mobiles like NOKIA-6600 or Sony Ericsson S700i as per the features are concerned ..except for the blue tooth technology. But the quality of any feature is much less than the other two I have mentioned.Butyou can buy 2 Philips 859 s for a SONY Ericsson S700i and can have some reserve too.
