Philips sold off their mobile phone dept to Chinese company, but as per the contract , the Chinese company can use the brand name Philips for a period of time :)
So technically its made by another company, but yes the philips is the one that makes lights, shavers, Irons, and other world famous electronics
Their Xenium brand of mobiles is known for long battery life, I have used 3 myself (am using Xenium 9@9 K which is really good)
If you are looking for Fancy stuff then philips may not he the right choice, but if you are looking for no-nonsense phone then this is the right one
